A Bit About Me
For years I was a physical therapist focused on neurological issues. With a belief and real passion for healing the brain-body connection. There is no place in the body that has more connection to the brain and the neurological system than the pelvis. In 2020, I saw a real lack of help for people experiencing pelvic pain, and Awareness Pelvic Health was born.
I want to ensure my clients develop the brain-body connection needed to correct or improve the physical challenges they face due to sexual and pelvic dysfunctions. We'll work together to create achievable goals and find relief for your pelvic pain.
As a mother of three, I understand the pain and changes that happen to a women's pelvis after childbirth. Everyone talks about how giving birth can change you - it certainly changes your schedule and emotional being. However, no one really prepares you for the physical changes childbirth can have on your pelvis – before and after delivery and even years later.
Pelvic pain can manifest for various reasons in both men and women and the symptoms can vastly affect your life - sexual dysfunction, incontinence, gut and bowel dysfunction, post-partum, prenatal, pelvic organ prolapse, and much more. These issues affect your physical and mental being. Pelvic PT is a holistic treatment that connects your brain and body to re-educate your muscles allowing you to heal.
